About StatistXStatistX provides a graphical user interface to the tested statistics program statist. The latest StatistX version is 0.4.0. The original statist is a small stable C-program, that was tested by students and scientists. StatistX uses statist as internal kernel to perform the actual calculations and to create some of the output. NoteThis software project is no longer maintained. I am not sure if it is still possible to compile StatistX on modern Linux distributions. However, the core statist is still under development (as of Jan. 2006). If anybody is willing to continue the development of StatistX, please let me know! Change the behaviour of histograms in Standard->Histogram->user definedSee CHANGES for additional features. FeaturesAt the current state StatistX can read ASCII data files, perform a couple of statistical tests and regressions on the data and print the results either as plain text into a window or produce Gnuplot prints on the screen. It should run on most Unix derivates.
