The TGD Plant model for Excel97®

The TGD model for uptake of chemicals by plants is offered as a spreadsheet model for Microsoft Excel97. Scenarios for different chemicals are available.

This model describes the uptake of pollutants by plants from soil and air. The concentration in the roots is calculated on the assumption of equilibrium distribution between roots and soil. The mass balance equation is solved analytically. This models allows an assessment compatible to that proposed in the TGD.
It is (in contrast to CemoS/Plant) not able to consider deposition of particle-bound compounds.
