I work at the intersection of behavioral, institutional and environmental economics. Most of my work revolves around three broad questions:
- How individuals as well as groups view their future and make decisions concerning future outcomes?
- How do different behavioral as well as institutional factors facilitate cooperation?
- Why do individuals engage in harmful or anti-social behavior?
I study these questions in the particular context of environmental and natural resource economics. Most of my work employs experimental economic methods. Additionally, I am also interested in agent based modeling and how it can be combined with more empirical methods such as experiments.
