Resource Management , PhD Candidate

Research Interests

  • Social learning in natural resource management
  • Participatory processes and multi-stakeholder processes
  • Gender and social differentiation
  • Climate change adaptation
  • Communicating climate change

I am interested in understanding the potential of social learning in resolving and managing complex, trans-boundary natural resource dilemmas and conflicts. Of particular interest is the extent to which (and how) deliberations and decision processes are shaped within social learning processes. I am keen to explore how multi-stakeholder (with conflicting and often competing interests) negotiate spaces of power, trust and identity towards a shared understanding or common goal and how these play out within learning spaces and shape the problem framing in practice.

Research Projects

  •  DAFNE [Use of a decision Analytic Framework to explore the water-energy-food nexus in complex and trans-boundary water resources system of fast growing developing countries]
